Itinerary
8:00 – 8:55 – Arrive on campus, unload and setup
9:00 – 11:30 – Students arrive – meet with students (Showcase)
11:30-11:45 – Pack materials
11:45– 12:45 – Lunch in Dining Hall
1:00 – 5:00 – Workshop (.4 CEU’s)
5:00 - Load materials to leave
Check-In
Check in at the Student Union – in the Ballroom. Your table for your display board will be located in the ABC rooms of the Union. We will have some coffee, fruit and danish available during the Showcase hours.
Parking
The parking spaces will be located in the Pine Street South Lot off Wynne Drive. To reach the Pine Street South Lot on the campus of Longwood University: From Main Street, turn on to Wynne Drive at the traffic light above the high rise dorms. Travel down Wynne Drive about 1 block. Turn left in to the gravel lot after the tiered paved lots. This is the Pine Street South Lot. The parking lot is divided between commuter students and visitors. Please park in the visitor section. If you park anywhere else on campus, you are at great risk for a ticket!!
Walking from the Pine Street South Lot to the Lankford Student Union: Walk across Wynne Drive to Pine Street. Proceed down Pine Street to the Brock Commons Pedestrian Mall. Once on the mall, walk along the left side for about 1 block. The Lankford Student Union will be on the left, just after the Greenwood Library.
Lunch
Complimentary lunch is for agencies who are attending the Showcase. Lunch will be in the Dining Hall – you will go through the food service line, sign a sheet, choose your food and then proceed to Nance Room downstairs for a time of socializing and networking. Otherwise lunch is $8 for visitors. There are fast food (McD’s, Chik-fil-a, Subway) and other places (bagel, Japanese close, Moe’s) to eat at within walking distance of the campus.
Workshop
You can register for the Workshop on campus. The Longwood University TR Alumni Council will be serving your needs at that time. The workshop will be in the Student Union ABC rooms. We will have a break at 2:30 – sodas, water, and cookies will be available.
